NIEeS provides a range of test services that provide the perfect opportunity to explore various eScience tools. Scientists can quickly access our test services and explore their potential. They do not need to install software or get system-administrator support.
Scientists can try a number of tools, gain experience with them and see if the tools are relevant and useful to their research. NIEeS will support and help the scientists in whatever way we can. If, at the end of their trial, the scientists would like to install and use particular eScience tools, NIEeS will be happy to facilitate this.
These test services are offered on a trial basis and are therefore not designed for permanent research. NIEeS will not offer dedicated back-ups or unlimited support.
NIEeS offers
- Remote access to test facilities, including user accounts, disk space etc
- Documentation tailored to these facilities
- Personal help to use the test facilities
- Help to integrate these with existing applications, or to develop applications to work with these resources
- Opportunities to visit NIEeS to work on the test facilities
