Environmental eScience: Challenges and Opportunities

One-day conference, BGS Keyworth
Tuesday 3rd June 2003

British Geological Survey

3 June 2003

The main objective of this workshop will be to show the wide potential of eScience technologies that can be used across the range of environmental sciences research. Talks will be given by escience experts and those engaged in developing escience projects in the environmental sciences, and will cover issues such as data management, visualisation and computations. There will also be opportunities to see some demonstrations in an informal setting. It is anticipated that the conference should be of interest to the whole NERC community, not only those involved in escience or computational work.

The day-long conference will be hosted by the Keyworth Headquarters of the British Geological Survey on behalf of the whole NERC community, with the lectures taking place in the De La Beche conference room. Details of location, with road maps, information on public transport, and information on local hotels, are given here.
